Waikiki, Oahu - 2002
Kenny and I took a too short trip to Waikiki, Oahu on Sunday, March 3rd and sadly returned on Thursday, March 7th. Waikiki is beautiful, peaceful and completely relaxing. And the people, both vacationing and the islanders, are as nice as they can be. That big mountain is Diamond Head.
We stayed at the historic and stunning, Sheraton Moana Surfrider; which is the oldest hotel on Oahu and by far the lovliest. The hotel is oceanside with an ancient banyan tree out back. While you're there, try a Moana Sands at the poolside bar. They're Kenny's favorite.
Waikiki is a fabulous strip of hotels and shops. Just down from our hotel was the Galleria, complete with a fish tank and wonderfully relaxing aqua massagers. We both had a go at it.
Kenny and I decided to take a sunset catameran cruise around the bay. It's really a great way to see Waikiki and ceratinly a glorious way to view a Hawain sunset.
No trip is complete without us renting a car and having a look-see around. We did just that and traveled clear around Oahu. We visited Oahu Sea Life Park, a botanical garden, the Polynesian Cultural Center, where we highly recommend you visit Samoa, the North Shore, where we witnessed our second beautiful sunset, and Waimea Falls Park, which was too gorgeous to believe.

Go up and over for our last day...
Our final day was spent relaxing on the beach. We also visited the nearby Honolulu Zoo. Our final sunset was beautiful but we were very sad to leave our newfound paradise. Visit Waikiki and tell them Kenny and Rob sent you. Aloha!
