Whistler & Vancouver, B.C.
June 4, 2004 - June 13, 2004
Our yearly vacation this year just happened to fall on my birthday. Kenny and I spent a week in Whistler, B.C. and two days in Vancouver. It's a two hour drive straight up the incredibly scenic Highway 99: The Sea-To-Sky Highway. Our first stop was at the Capilano Suspension Bridge, 230 feet above the Capilano Canyon.  Soon after, we stopped at the glorious Shannon Falls. Actually, we stopped and started so much along the way it took us 5 hours to get up there. Everything around Whistler is stunningly beautiful, with pristine lakes and waterfalls in every direction. We also spent a day up at the top of Blackcomb Mountain; which was my first time up a ski lift. For my birthday we visited the Britannia Beach Copper Mine and had an amazing dinner at the Mongolie Grill. Our trip ended in beautiful Vancouver, where we walked and sailed for two days. The highlight was Stanley Park and the major fun Vancouver Aquarium. A perfect way to end a perfect vacation!
